Keep Portfolio up to date

One of the main reason I and many others stick with Adobe, is that with Portfolio it offers a built-in portfolio website builder. Since I have created my website four years ago, no updates have been made to the system and it’s starting to feel out of date. Adobe really needs to keep this feature up to date if it wants to keep users from ditching Adobe for a cheaper alternative and different portfolio website provider.

Edit: I have no idea why this post has been moved to the Lightroom board, but the fact that there is no dedicated Portfolio board underlines my point.

Agreed!!! a few things would make a big difference. Mobile navigation options would be at the top of my list, along with the ability to nest collections inside other collections, which helps a lot once a portfolio covers several project categories. Analytics and a blogging feature would be welcome additions too. And on collection pages, being able to add text sections would make it much easier to give projects some context.

Adobe Express is even more limited than Adobe Portfolio for building a complex portfolio site. I don't understand why Portfolio couldn't just get incremental updates instead, including nesting collections inside of the main collection etc.

My biggest issue is Portfolio's mobile view which is poor because the entire navigation is always hidden behind a hamburger menu. There's no option to show top-level links inline on mobile, which hurts both usability and how visitors move between project pages.

Adobe Express is no way near Portfolio when it comes to making a portfolio. I can’t figure out how to add albums from Lightroom, or even single images straight from Lightroom in Adobe Express. When choosing add photo, I can only add from device or generate from AI.

The reason for this coming under Lightroom might be because Adobe does not have a dedicated space for Portfolio in Adobe Community, which is kind of weird, since it could lead to more user interaction and usage.

I have for long wanted to be able to edit portfolios from the tablet on the fly. Lightroom works well there, and the tablet are with me more often on the go than a laptop. However, browsers on non desktop devices has for some reason been designed to not work fully, even with a mouse and keyboard. The reason I got a couple years ago was that no professionals use tablets, although ironically Lightroom and Photoshop is on iPad, as well as many non professional also wants to use these services. In 2026 however, it just feels like it is being left behind, which makes me wonder if this service is scheduled for being removed at some point.

Regarding ditching Adobe; I don’t think there are any other services that gives you cloud storage, software like Lightroom and a portfolio website builder that is tightly integrated with the cloud storage for easy managing.
