Keeping the same order of photos when copying to another or new album?

In Lightroom CC cloud on Windows 10, when I copy an album or part of an album to another (or new) album, how do I keep the photos copied in the same order as the original album? Even though I have the original album & the destination album set to Custom view, the order gets changed. Likewise on an iPhone 11.

What I am trying to do is break larger albums into smaller albums whilst maintaining the same order of the photos as in the original album.
