Key word search in relevance order gives the most relevant hits last

I use LightRoom mobile, trying to search for keywords that have been set in LightRoom Classic. There is now also a problem with totally irrelevant search hits comming up, and the 10 seconds later the list of images are replaced with relevant ones. There is also a new bad behavior, the whole db locally is wiped every time you close the app or if it crashes. So searching for images becomes impossible until first the db is up and running again, THEN you can search. If you do the search before this, you don’t get any hits at all.

And then I often find an image related to the one I’m searching for, but there seems to be no functionality to go to any of the collections that the image is added to. The workflow is just broken for my use case. My main application is LR-Classic, and out on the field I use my tablet so show potential clients images. But if I cannot load them quickly enough, the client is gone in less than 10 seconds. The interaction between keywords, searches, collections are the things that really matters the most to me. That is broken now...

I can’t check this because I type this on my iPad, but I would think you are not using Lightroom Classic, but Lightroom. Lightroom Classic only has a system with manually assigned keywords, it does not use subject recognition. There is no sense in having an option to sort on relevance, because if you search on a keyword, you will simply get all images with that keyword. Each image will be as relevant as the next.

Just to clarify: you mention "Light Room Classic" in your post. Could you confirm which app you're using?

Lightroom Desktop - cloud-based, available on desktop, mobile, and web

Lightroom Classic - the traditional desktop application

The reason I ask is that we're aware of relevance-sorting issues that were recently addressed in the Lightroom Ecosystem. If you're using Lightroom on mobile or desktop (cloud-based), please make sure you're updated to the latest version.

If you're on Lightroom Classic, the keyword search and sort behavior works differently, and I'd like to investigate further. Please share more details about your workflow and the system info from Lightroom. Go to Help > System info, copy and paste it into a text document, then upload and attach it here along with a few screenshots or a short video. Right now, the information I have is too limited to help you.
