Lens Blur is now bugged for me, on all photos where is enabled the blur moved few inches right or top from subject. Disable and enable again does not help. Yesterday everything works fine. Had someone this problem aswell?
Thanks for jumping in and confirming you’re seeing the same issue, @Adam26620522rbi9.
The Lens Blur tool shifting a few pixels off the subject does sound like a bug introduced in a recent update, especially if it was working fine just a day before. Since more than one user is experiencing it now, this might be affecting specific setups or OS versions.
As Alek suggested: • Hold Option + Shift while launching Lightroom. • Click “Yes” when prompted to reset preferences.
This won’t delete your photos but will reset settings like interface layout and preferences. So, ensure to keep a backup of your settings.
Also, Toggle Lens Blur and Re-analyze Depth Map • Turn off Lens Blur • Go to the Masking Panel • Delete the existing Depth Mask (if present) • Recreate it using “Lens Blur > Apply” again • Check if it’s now correctly aligned
Additionally, sometimes the rendering glitch could be GPU-related: • Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance • Try toggling Use Graphics Processor to Off, then restart Lightroom • See if the alignment issue persists
if still not working? Please share the following so we can investigate: 1. System Info Go to: Help > System Info → Save it as a .txt file 2. Screenshot of the issue Clearly showing how the blur is misaligned from the subject 3. Original photo (.DNG, .CR3, etc.) if you’re comfortable sharing
I just tested this out on my end, and everything seems to be working fine. Could you try resetting your Lightroom preferences? Just hold down Option + Shift while starting the application. This will bring up a dialog box where you can choose to reset preferences. If you have any preferences you want to keep, make sure to back them up first.
Thanks a bunch!
Alek
