What version of Lightroom? You posted in the Lightroom ecosystem forum, but you talk about 'library' and a 'catalog' which is Lightroom Classic.

Hey, sorry i used LrC many years, but i do mean Lightroom. Version 8.4 with no updates available.
Main issue is the filters dont work, but also i dont see the edits in the photos. Yesterday before the mac update it worked.

Anything else seems to work as well.

Do you need any more information?

Thanks!

Hey, i dont sync all the RAWs; it's just too many.
CC is running, but ofc the Web-Test doesn't apply.

And for the Screenshot: I apply the filter and then the black and blue circle is spinning forever.

Happens only in one folder though. 2k Fotos, 30 Gigs.

Smaller folders seem to work.

I will try to move all the video from that folder; maybe that helps.
My m3 pro 36gb Mac should handle that though..

Thanks for the support.

Thanks for sharing this. This must be frustrating.

Try these suggestions:

  • Ensure Lightroom has the required permissions on macOS: macOS:https://adobe.ly/3WfrQf2
  • Log on to Lightroom Web (https://adobe.ly/3XVZmIp) and ensure everything is synced and backed up before proceeding.
  • Choose Go > Go To Folder in the Finder window and type ~/pictures. Locate a bundle named Lightroom Library.lrlibrary.
  • Right-click or control-click this bundle and choose Show Package Contents. You'll find a folder inside it with a long cryptic string of numbers and letters (for example: d1a4f88d2b534c7d91022136fd182532). Open that folder.
  • In the folder, move out all the files named Managed Catalog.[anything] to the Mac's desktop. Also, delete the Previews.db file.
  • Launch Lightroom.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

sorry for the typos; can't edit and am in a rush.
I restarted my mac and closed/opened the app multiple times. Will try further and update if something works.
