Lightroom 3.1 Editing Error, app stops running

Question

Dear Lightroom Users,
 
Happy new year and may your edits keep on for 2020!
 
I recently uploaded pictures and noticed the new user interface of LR, after uploading my pictures and trying to follow the tutorials to edit a picture (pressing "D"), the application stops running and highlight an error then shuts down.
 
This keeps occuring again and againg which makes me unable to edit my pictures.
 
Would you have any idea what could help solving this issue?

Sorry that you're getting an error wbile editing your images in Lightroom 3.1. Would you mind telling us what is the exact error message you're getting while editing your images? What is your operating system?
