Lightroom 6.1. iMac says it's damaged and needs to be removed to trash.

Removed to trash (it went nowhere). Attempt to open and it states LR is damaged remove to trash. No idea what to do.

It would help if you showed us a screenshot of the error message that you are getting.

Don't use Lightroom often. Tonight it says it no longer is working and that I should manually move it to trash. If so, how do I get it back?
