I have what I beleive is the latest edition of Lightroom but the content bar i.e library, develop etc is missing. Can any one help please. Many thanks.

You've likely installed Lightroom Desktop instead of Lightroom Classic. Lightroom Classic has the Modules (Library, Develop, Map, Etc.)

Make sure you are using the application that is correct for your needs.

Thank you for your prompt reply, have now downloaded Lightroom classic
which has solved the problem, many thanks
