Lightroom AI masking not detecting subject/people/background

Question

For months now I experience that using the (background) mask option generates an error. For me an important feature to the extend that if it is not fixed i am going to look for alternative app. I hoped with the new update the issue would be solved,but no. Just updated and the same roadblock appeared. Annoying.

Please share the system information from Lightroom Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

Does this happen with a series of images with specific edits? This can also be a GPU issue, and some of the steps I've shared here may be of some help for Windows users: https://adobe.ly/4nlScY6
