Lightroom bush keeps freezing

anytime i try and mask with the brush tool my mac freezes and the rainbow icon appears it happens after every couple strokes, making masking almost completley  impossible. i thought it was my memory so i upgraded to 16GB of memory on my imac, howver that did not fix anything.

Same issue for me.

Mac OS Monterey 12.2.1,

Lightroom 5.2.

iMac 3.6 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9, 

64 GB 2667 MHz DDR4, 

Radeon Pro Vega 48 8 GB

 

Same with hardware accelaration on or off.

Masking brush is unusable. Rubbish.

I am having the same issue.  Running 64GB of RAM on Big Sur.  This was not happening before when I was running 12GB of RAM on Catalina.

Hi there, 

 

Sorry that Lightroom Brushes keep freezing the app. Which version of Lightroom are you using? Does the app freezes while using Adjustment brush on all the images? Also, are you running the Mac OS Catalina on your iMac?

It's the latest version of Lightroom cc and yes i am running Catalina
