Lightroom CC Android Frustrating Behavior

I've noticed a weird behavior in CC for Android. On my Pixel 2XL, I'll shoot some photos with the phone's camera app then go into LR to edit. Unfortunately, the photos might take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour or more to show up in LR. I have auto import enabled, of course. Contrast this to the behavior in Lightroom for iOS, wherein as soon as you open LR, the photos start importing without delay. I don't believe this has always been the case with LR for Android. At any rate, this is a frustrating break to my workflow. Anyone else have this issue or a solution? Or is this a bug?

I’ve not seen this personally on my old Galaxy Note but I use the Adobe camera app within LRCC and that seems to add the photos immediately. I’m not saying this is a solution but you could try it, especially if your device can shoot DNG. Let us know if you see any difference.

This, of course, works. But part of the reason I use a Pixel is because of the computational photography that Google applies to their jpgs, which doesn't work on DNGs. So, thanks for the partially-correct answer, but it's more of a workaround rather than an actual fix.
