Lightroom CC Grain issues

Since updating to Lightroom 4.2. I have been having the below two issues when trying to add grain to my photos:

1. Increasing grain Grain all the way to highest value of 100 does not yeild a much more noticeable amount of grain than the halfway value 50. 

2. Increasing the Grain Size seems to only make my images blurry.  

Please advise.
