Question

Lightroom CC - new plan - loads of photo's disappeared

Hi!

So I'm a new user (previously used standalone photoshop) of Lightroom CC.

I spent 2 days importing photo's, cataloging etc.

I made a change in my plan (upgraded to include 1tb of storage, and then upgraded again to include photoshop).

Now suddenly more than 50% of my photo's disappeared.

There seems to be a connection with the following:

i logged on to the online lightroom cc tool (lightroom.adove.com), and there it says:

all images: 3,577

Sync Issues: 6769.

Previousy i had all these pics combined on my laptop (MAC, updated on all fronts, rebooted twice).

Now I have 3577 left.

So somewhere, 6769 photos are lost in limbo.

The lightroom CC app on my mac has always stated: Synced and backed up.

So, what;s wrong?

And more importantly: How do I fix this? I just bought a pretty expensive plan,

not expecting this kind of trouble.

Anyway: thanks for thinking with me, pointing me in the right direction, or asking me for extra info etc!

Edit: I checked the folder that contains the catalog for lightroom cc / files:

it has 10730 files

Hi sierdjanw,

We're really sorry for all the hassle. Are you missing all these images right after upgrading your Lightroom plan? Do you have all the original images stored somewhere? Out of 6769, how many images you have edited so far?

Also, could you please let us know the exact version of Lightroom you are using now?

Regards,

Mohit

Hi Mohit,

Thank you so much for getting back to me.

It happened right after the upgrade.

I've not edited many, just a few. But I had done some cataloging, and applied quite a few tags.

Quite a bit of work actually.

Fortunately I've not removed any of the images yet. But they are on a stick, whereas they used to be in the cloud.

I don't feel very safe.

Is there any chance of solving this your side?

If not: would you tell me what to do to get a fresh start?

Version of Lightroom CC: 1.4

Regards,

Sierdjan

Sorry to hear that. Could you please let us know which plan you were subscribed before and which plan you have now?

If not: would you tell me what to do to get a fresh start?

You can re-import all the missing images from the backup stick in Lightroom CC desktop app.

Regards,

Mohit
