Lightroom Classic automatically saves mass copies? - HELP

Question

So...My housemate uses Lightroom and has been plagued with an issue for months now where from the moment she adds new photos It will start saving them in the background automatically.  It will do this whilst she is editing and has saved (at the time of writing) 9 copies of a set of 100+ photos in a massive dump.  She can't easily find the photos she has edited in amongst them all there are so many copies.  Please help, we have both looked endlessly through settings over the last few months to try and solve this but nothing we have found has worked. Hi Aidank,That isn't a great user experience as Lightroom is automatically adding images and consuming high storage , we're sorry to hear about this. Let us help make it right.Which version of Lightroom are you using? (Like Lightroom Classic 8.3 or Lightroom desktop 1.3)To verify the version of Lightroom you're using : Choose Help > System Info.Also, you've mentioned that Lightroom starts saving the images? Do you mean the that images start syncing to the cloud or the app starts to download the originals to your computer? If that's the issue, Go to Preferences -> Local Storage and uncheck the box for Store a copy of all originals locally.Thanks,Akash
