Lightroom (Cloud-based) export and sharing not working

I am using Lightroom (Cloud-based) and Lightroom Classic on my PC. Lightroom Classic works fine. In Lightroom (Cloud-based), after selecting an image, nothing happens when I try to Export or Share...no dialog box, export options, etc. On my mobile apps (Lightroom for iPad and iPhone), the Export/Share works as it should. I have tried removing and reinstalling the program and restarting my computer. No other programs are running simultaneously. Any suggestions?

Hey, @kenm16635933. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll help you figure this out. Thanks for sharing these details.

 

Does this happen with a series of images, or do all images behave similarly? Do you have OneDrive set up on the Windows machine?

 

In Adobe Lightroom, please share the screenshot of the options below from Preferences.

 

 

Try these steps:

 

  • Create a test album in Lightroom.
  • Right-click on the album and save the album locally
  • Export the album to an internal storage location.

 

Check apps that have been updated recently, windows updates & the antivirus/software program on the computer to find if Lightroom or its components are not blocked or interrupted while accessing the internet and the local storage.

Hi Sameer,

 

Thank you so much for your reply.

  • I have not been able to export any images at all from Lightroom. All images act the same: after being selected, nothing happens when I try to export an image using the "Share..." icon in the upper right corner of the window, the "Export..." menu item in the File menu, or "Export..." in the Context (Right-click) menu.
  • OneDrive is set up on my machine on a separate drive (E:\OneDrive) from the default location of my Lightroom program files (C:\Users\kenme\AppData\Local\Adobe\Lightroom CC) and from the location of my Lightroom storage location for originals (G:\Lightroom Storage).
  • I created a test album and added 1 photo. The album is set to be saved locally and I confirmed that the photo in the album is on my hard drive at G:\Lightroom Storage\Lightroom CC\f8af4312ef0041f5b0a423951f50acf5\originals\2023\2023-05-09. I believe it is located there because the album is stored locally. Otherwise, I don't know how to export the album to an internal storage location, and nothing happens when I try to export the image in the album.
  • My apps are all updated. 
  • I use Windows security Virus and Threat Protection. As far as I can tell, it is not blocking Lightroom or any other program on my machine.

    Check the registry entries in the following location (might require IT authorization as this is on a work machine):

    • Press Windows + R > type in 'Regedit' and press OK to open Registry Editor.
    • Navigate to the following location in Registry Editor: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

     

    Please share a screenshot of this window.

     

    As a test, reset Lightroom's data location from the external drive to default on the C drive.
