Lightroom crash everytime remove tool is used

So my pc is literally just used for lightroom I don't leave any photos on it i have them on external HDs 

 

The last few days lightroom has been really laggy and everytime I try to use remove tool it may let me start bit it freezes and the only way out is ending the task. 

 

Ive un-installed and reinstalled etc any ideas? Im windows user.

Please share the system information from Lightroom Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here. 

 

I couldn't find crash reports submitted with the account you've signed in to the community with. If you see a crash dialogue, submit it with your Adobe ID. Check here for more steps: https://adobe.ly/3Wpjx0B

 

Test some variables like:

  • Pause Sync while you're working in Lightroom. 
  • Temporarily, unplug extra displays & only keep one active at a time. 
  • You can set GPU performance in Lightroom (macOS) in Edit (Windows) > Preferences > Performance > Turn off GPU usage. This might also be similar to what is being discussed here: https://adobe.ly/3FBaDa0

hey @Sameer K thanks for such a speedy responce, i have upgraded my ram in the last 10mins from 32 to 64 hoping that may help too. i have checked the above settings and i dont have gpu available in the settings to deselect so its not being used anyway. 

it just weird how its been absolutley fine for 5 months and now the last few days just not happ, its all i use for the pc and i dont have any photos on it as i use external HDs

also just for feedback i have filled in the crash report box that comes up 3 or 4 times in the last week
