Lightroom crashed and images have gone missing

Question

Hi I am a novice at this. I downloaded light room and started to work on some photos from my photo folder. Then shut down computer. When i logged on again on my photos were gone from folders and folders gone and light room wouldnt open up saying i need a.new app. Also bridge would not down load. Please help i need my pics back.

Hi there,

Sorry that your computer crashed and the images you were working on in Lightroom have gone missing.

Which version of Lightroom are you using and what is your computer's OS?

Would you mind unchecking the option "Use Graphics Processor" under the Preferences> Performance menu and then restart the app?

Also, please log on to https://lightroom.adobe.com/ and check if your images got synced to the cloud and you can locate your images on Lightroom Web.
