Lightroom Crashes on launch on Mac Pr0

My Lightroom app immediately closes after I open it. I have tried uninstalling, rebooting, and reinstalling, but the problem persists. I have also tried to log in with a different email but there has been no change. My other Adobe apps are running well. What could be the problem? I use the app daily for work and I need it to work. I don't want to use other software but I will if I must.

I have this very same problem and I tried the steps outlined by Sameer and it still crashes on launch.  I did choose the option to provide my email - clintlfinch@outlook.com - to adobe.

We’ve reviewed the email address you use with this forum and find no crash reports in our system.

Did you see a crash dialog?

Do you use a different email address when filling out the crash report?

Was the crash dialog Adobe’s?  Apple’s?

Hey, @Chris29656126tgx3. I understand crashes can be frustrating. I'll need more info to help you figure this out. What version of Lightroom & the macOS are you working on?

Before troubleshooting, log in to Lightroom Web (https://lightroom.adobe.com) to ensure your work is backed up & synced to the cloud.

Try this:

  • Go to the following location to launch Photoshop via the terminal.
In Finder > Application Folder > Lightroom Classic > Right-click on Lightroom.app > Show Package Contents > Contents > macOS > Lightroom - double click to open.
  • If Lightroom does not work, share what comes up in the terminal window after Lightroom crashes.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!
