Lightroom Crashing On New iMac M3

Sorry If this has been mentioned before.

I installed LR on my brand new iMac 24 with an M3 chip, 8 gigs RAM, Sonoma 14.4.

The program is very slow, keeps lagging and often crashes during masking, with a spinning like pinweel icon.

Ironically, i have use LR with an older ipad Air and a 1 year old imac with an i7 and don't have this problem.

I don't think it's my iMac bec ause it performs very CPU intensive tasks with other programs.

We’ve reviewed the email address you use with this forum and find no crash reports in our system.

Did you see a crash dialog?

Do you use a different email address when filling out the crash report?

Was the crash dialog Adobe’s? Apple’s?

Rikk,

I have filled out dozens of crash reports with no response.

I have also heard from multitudes of people about the pinwheel spinning while masking, and then LR freezes. It actully also happens on my brand new iMac M3, with hardly any other programs installed.

You guys are not the only photo editor in the game. I read about hundreds of people migrating to very good alternatives all of the time.

We’ve again reviewed the email address you use with this forum and still found no crash reports in our system.

Repeating:

Did you see a crash dialog?
Do you use a different email address when filling out the crash report?
Was the crash dialog Adobe’s? Apple’s?

Additionally, Please go to Help>System Info… and provide us with your software's installed version number.
