Lightroom crashing other devices

Question

Hi,I have just downloaded a free 7 day Lightroom trial.  I'm having major issues with the home wifi because as soon as I open Lightroom there is a lag spike, usually around 5000.  It's locking up other devices in the house.  I've used Photoshop and a couple of other trial photo editors and I'm not having any issues with them, just Lightroom.  Has anyone had this before and if so, is there anything I can do to fix it or will I just have to find an alternative photo editor?

You might want to consider Lightroom Classic instead. Lightroom stores all your images in the cloud. Therefore it is heavily dependent on your Internet connection. If your Wi-Fi isn't able to support that then Lightroom Classic might be a better choice because it utilizes a local catalog and stores images locally on your computer.
