Lightroom Version Number: 5.2 x64 [ 20220128-1049-86119e0 ] (Jan 28 2022)

OS: Windows 10

Steps to reproduce

1. Launch Adobe Lightroom

2. Click the bell icon to open notifications

3. App crashes instantly

Attachments: video recording of the app crashing

Please note I already uninstalled/reinstalled Lightroom via the Creative Cloud dashboard. It did not fix the issue.

Hi there,

We're sorry to see the crash issue with Lightroom (Cloud-Based).

Since when are you experiencing this? What is your system specification? Are your graphic drivers up to date? If not, update your driver to the latest driver from your card's manufacturer. If crashes still occur, try disabling the GPU in preferences.

We understand you've already re-installed the application; however, if it's not performed in a below-mentioned manner, try doing it one more time. First, reset preferences

Reset Procedure:

1. Close Lightroom.

2. Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.

3. Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.

4. Close Lightroom.

5. Restart Lightroom.

Still seeing the same issue, follow this Install Procedure

Close Lightroom

Restart the computer

Use the Adobe Creative Cloud App to uninstall Lightroom.

Restart the computer

Install Lightroom via the Creative Cloud App without launching any other programs.

Restart the computer

Launch Lightroom

Wait 5 minutes

Let me know if you still see crashes.

Regards.
