lightroom deleted all my photos after being offline when it reconnected and synced

I deactivated lightroom just over 2 years ago. I recently reactivated my account. I found my old computer with the files still intact in lightroom and not connected to internet. When I tried saving the files, it wouldn’t back up so I connected to the internet. Once I did it synced and immediately deleted everything. is there a way to retrieve any of that or did 6 years of work just evaporate? I had regular back ups when I was using the apps, but now they are missing and I don’t have any way to get the most recent ones back.

Hey, @Project Daydreams. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll clarify this for you.

Lightroom continues to store your original images for one year after your membership lapses. Lightroom's web-based catalog is associated with your Adobe ID and active subscription. Your previous catalog must have been deleted from the web and can not be recovered.

When you sign in to Lightroom after two years, a new web-based catalog is associated with your Adobe ID. Upon launch, Lightroom will only load the new & empty catalog.
