Question

Lightroom desktop app keeps asking me to renew my subscription even though I am already paying

I am so upset. I paid for and am subscribed to a monthly plan for adobe lightroom and the desktop app worked just fine for me at first. Now every time I pull it up is says " my subscription has ended and I need to renew" !! I had a very unnerving call with support in which they took over my computer and made me feel very uncomfortable with zero reassurance. He also essentially said everything was fixed and I had to take back over controls to show him that in fact, it was not fixed. I am so upset but am planning to cancel because this issue was never resolved. I've wasted so much time on this. VERY poor experience with Adobe overall.

Wow that is really annoying indeed. I really dislike tech support people taking over your computer. It seems to be the standard thing they want to do nowadays which I think is terrible.

One thing to try in this case is to go into the creative cloud app and log out of it completely. You do this from the account menu all the way in the top right. It looks like a very big nose for some strange reason. Then reboot your computer. Log onto creative cloud. Make sure to use the account that you signed up for the monthly plan with. Then start Lightroom. Hopefully that will fix it. If not, go into the Creative cloud app and uninstall Lightroom making sure to select to remove all files. When that is done, reinstall Lightroom. Beyond this if it still doesn't work, there is a problem with your account and not your computer and only Adobe can fix it on their end.
