Lightroom Desktop Change in "duplicate photo" behavior

When I right-click a photograph and select Duplicate 1 Photo, the newly created photo now has "duplicate" appended to its name.

I believe that in earlier Lightroom Desktop versions, approximately spring 2026, Duplicate Photo created the second Lightroom image with the same name as the original.

Was the naming behavior of Duplicate Photo intentionally changed in a recent Lightroom Desktop release?
