Lightroom desktop "Edit in Photoshop" not working

Question

Hi I have LR CC and PS and its been working fine till yesterday - when i try and export it has all of a sudden stopped working - no reason for it, no settings been changed - I can not export from LR to PS

Sorry that Lightroom is no longer editing your images into Photoshop. That's not a great user experience, let us try to fix it.

Please make sure that you are using the latest versions of both the apps as the problem you're reporting was a known issue that has been fixed in a later update. See https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/many-ps-20-0-1-functions-missing-on-image-opened-from-lr-cl-cc
