Lightroom Desktop not responding while importing

I am currently having isssues with Lightroom CC on importing photos, hanging and not responding.  has anyone else experienced this issue of late.  I didn't have this pproblem a couple of weeeks ago.  

 

getting frustrated now.

Hi there,

 

We're sorry about the experience due to the Lightroom desktop freezing on your computer while importing images.

 

Please share the version of Lightroom along with your computer's OS. Does the app freezes while performing any other task? Where are you importing the images from and how many of them are you importing at once?

 

Could you please uncheck the option "use graphics processor" under Preferences> Performance menu and let us know if that helps? 

 

If that does not help, please try resetting the Lightroom app preferences to default. Press and hold the Shift + Option + Delete keys.(Mac) or Press and hold the Shift + Alt keys while starting Lightroom. A dialog box should appear asking you restore the preferences.

I had already turned off my Graphicas card in lightroom preferences as previous people with imilar issues had been advised but this has changedd nothing. I have also tried to import files from my hard drive instead of a card reader but still crashing.

I am unable to use Lightroom on my computer as i could jus tlast month and I have made no amendments to my system.

 

Please help as this is infuriating.
