lightroom export shrinking

I have an enhanced DNG file that is roughly 2GB.  Why is it that when I export it as a JPEG it's under 200MB?

JPEG files are compressed, so it is as expected that they are much smaller than the original. That is usually the reason why one uses JPEG in the first place.
