Question

Lightroom fails to connect to both cloud and local, and show any photos + 443 timeout

Hello!

Yesterday I was working on my Lightroom as always. No issues, nothing new.

Today however when I launched the app I observed an issue consisting of smaller issues (sorry for PL language on screens - chaning language didn't work. Screens named after points they refer to):

1. both my local and cloud galleries didn't show up at all. No numbers next to folders, no way of selecting local folders and giving more permissions. Nothing.

When I go to https://lightroom.adobe.com/ I can see all my cloud photos and editions wihtout any problem.

2https://www.adobe.com/files/ does not show any of my LR files - only PS files. LR is not even listed amongs apps filter there.

3. When I open Preferences in CC, my cloud storage status shows correcly. LR is not able to load that data (as it wouldn't be able to load anything at all apart basic UI - it just freezes on "count in process").

4. After some time out LR trying to connect to cloud it crashes with 'Lightroom initialization did not success because of an internal problem' (translation from Polish) and 443 Operation timed out.

Already restarted everything, uninstalled all CC, restarted Mac, installed again. Nothing helps.
MacOS Sequoia 15.3, M1 Air.

I'd appreciate any help, because my editing job is completely freezed 😕😕

Hey, @otick. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. Thanks for adding the details.

Did Lightroom close normally the last time it worked? Try these steps to get Lightroom to launch:

  • Reset Lightroom by holding the OPT + SHIFT when you launch Lightroom and select 'Yes'.
  • Ensure Photoshop has the required permissions on macOS: https://adobe.ly/3DyUwsz
  • Go to the following location to launch Lightroom via the terminal.
In Finder > Application Folder > Lightroom Folder > Right-click on Lightroom .app > Show Package Contents > Contents > macOS > Lightroom—double-click to open.

Share the log of what you see in the terminal window when Lightroom Launches.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks!
Sameer K

Hi Sameer! Thanks for your reply.

First 2 steps didn't work unfortunately.
