Lightroom for iPad needs a better cloud refresh

I love editing on iPad on the go but the sync is terrible. No issues on pc laptop or iPhone but the iPad does not sync up. Force close even uninstalled and has not updated. They need an actual refresh button

If even uninstalling/reinstalling did not work, then you would need more than just a 'Refresh' button. Something else is set wrongly. In System Settings - Apps - Lightroom check that 'Background Refresh' is enabled for Lightroom. Also enable 'Mobile Data' if you are not on a wifi network. In the Lightroom app tap on the three dots in the upper right corner, then app settings and Cloud Storage & Sync. Here's another place where you can stop Lightroom using cellular data if there is no wifi, so check that too if you don't use wifi.

Hi @PicsbyJans, welcome to the community! Sorry to hear that Lightroom for iPad is giving you some trouble with syncing.

Does the sync eventually go through, or is it still stuck? When you get a chance, try tapping the menu in the top left corner, go to Local Storage, and clear your cache. That might help get things moving again.

Let me know how it goes, happy to help further if needed!

Thanks,
Alek
