Lightroom hangs

Lightroom CC now hangs on startup. It opens to show the last open folder. When I try to change folder, open an image, etc. it hangs and I have to close. I tried re-installing the program, and now I get to the "tips" window, which I cannot close and the app hangs. Photoshop is fine.
