Lightroom hangs up, while deleting pictures

Sorry you’re running into this. Since Lightroom has become unresponsive four times within an hour, specifically after deleting photos, I’d like to narrow down exactly where the hang is occurring.
 

First, please make sure you’re running the latest available version of Lightroom 9.5.
 

Could you also confirm:

• Are you using Lightroom Classic (LrC) or the cloud-based Lightroom (Lr)?

• What exact version and operating system are you using? Please copy and paste Help > System Info here.

• How are you deleting the photos, for example, Remove from Lightroom/catalog, Delete from Disk, or deleting from All Photos/Cloud?

• Are the originals stored on your internal drive, external drive, NAS/network storage, or cloud-synced location?

• Does the freeze occur when deleting one photo, or only when deleting a larger batch?

• If you wait after Lightroom becomes unresponsive, does it eventually recover, or do you have to force-quit it?

Once we know the Lightroom version and exactly which deletion workflow triggers it, we can suggest more targeted steps rather than having you reset or reinstall unnecessarily.
