Lightroom HDR photo merge hangs at 68%

Lightroom HDR photo merge hangs at 68%. It's the most up-to-date version, it's 7 JPEG photos taken by a drone in an HDR burst, each around 5.7mb large.

Any ideas?? The net seems to be devoid of any issues like this.

Thanks for reaching out, could you share a bit more about what’s going on? What version of Lightroom are you using? Does this happen with every photo or just specific ones? If it’s only affecting certain images, feel free to send them our way so we can test things on our end.

Thanks - so I'm using version 8.5.1

It happens every time I try to do an HDR merge, with different sets of
photos, and has been an issue for about 2 months now (so it's not an
issue with the most recent release). I was hoping the most recent
release might fix the issue and when it didn't I decided to flag it
here. I've also scoured the net above and surprised not to see other
people experiencing the same... I'm running this on Win11 on a Vivobook
S15/16 powered with AMD Ryzen AI 9 and 32GB RAM.
