Lightroom IPad importing from folder problem (Lightroom CC)

Hi,

I'm travelling and taking photos on a Fuji camera in RAW. Occasionally i want to dump my photos to my IPad and edit them in Lightroom. 

I'm using a SD reader connected to the iPad and copying the pics into a folder on the iPad.

When i go to Lightroom, make a new album and click to add from files I'm running into a problem. It seems like I can import a picture by clicking on it but if I try to "select all" and click either "done" or "open": nothing happens. The photos wont import.

Can anyone help me know what is going on?
