Question

Lightroom is not working. When I click to edit a photo it goes funky and stops functioning. I tried reinstalling it. Any ideas

Lightroom Opens normally, but when I click to edit a photo, it goes blank and comes back not functioning and without all of the options showing. For example, I try to crop a photo and it does not crop, nor does it show the editing features. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the program and I have the same problem

Hey, @rpreading. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I’ll help you figure this out.

Please share the system info from Lightroom by going to Help > System info, copying and pasting it into a text document, uploading it, and attaching it here.

For now, as primary steps, try this:

    • Unplug additional displays & use only one by default.
    • Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor > Set it off if it is on Custom or Auto. If this shows you any differences, please check this article to troubleshoot further: https://adobe.ly/3uYiJo4

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

Thanks for the update. The GPU status reports that your GPU isn’t supported. Just to be sure, try these steps:

Clear the GPU info & Logs location on Windows is %APPDATA%\Adobe\CameraRaw. A shortcut to get to this folder on Windows is:

    • Press the Windows + R
    • Enter %APPDATA%\Adobe\CameraRaw
    • Rename the GPU & Logs folder in this directory by adding .old at the end. (GPU.old & Logs.old)
    • Launch Lightroom again.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!
