Lightroom is only able to install the Intel version of Lightroom on Apple M3
I just got a new MacBook. My previous laptop was a MacBook with an intel cpu. I migrated to the new machine via Time Machine, which included Adobe CC and all my previously installed apps.
When I click the three dots next to Lightroom in the "Apps" section of CC, the option to launch the app says "Open (Intel)".
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. No change. I tried completely removing CC and all other Adobe components with the CC Cleaner Tool as per the instructions here, then restarted my machine.
I then installed a fresh copy of CC, and then Lightroom. No change. I still see "Open (intel)".
When I launch Lightroom, there is an orange banner at the top of the app saying:
"Macintosh HD is disconnected. Originals will be accessed through the cloud"
This would seem to imply that there is still some Lightroom configuration information somewhere on the machine which has not been cleaned via the Cleaner tool.
What do I do? I don't want to be running the Intel versions of the apps on M3!
