Lightroom Issues Oct 2020

I recently updated lightroom but I'm noticing an issue where if I copy and paste a preset to my photos it stops in the middle and I have to close Lightroom and reopen it and restart the process. It works the second time around but is there something I can do to avoid having to restart the program? It has also been doing that to white balancing my images using the dropper tool. The first image works then I have to close out and reopen after every white balance.
