Lightroom Masking copy for portrait oriented photos not working on macOS

I have two photos taken in portrait orientation. They display in correct orientation in LR. However, mask copied from one photo to another will be 90 degree rotated.

Could you please specify the version of Lightroom you are working on & the version of the operating system you are working on? Does this happen with a specific set of images or recently imported images? What type of images do you work with, JPEG or RAW? Could you please share a screenshot or screen recording of this behavior?

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?
