Lightroom masks not working only making squares

Question

Like the title says, whenever I try to mask anything in Lightroom it does this instead of actually mask. When I ask it to mask the sky it says no sky is found even though it couldn't be clearer. I've had this issue through the past few updates and it's really frustrating. I'm using the most recent version and am still experiencing this.

It seems as though I've found a fix. It may have been the version of AMD Adrenalin Edition I was using. By uninstalling and reinstalling the most recent version for my rx6600 it now works. I might be having a correlation/causation issue, but I'm glad it's working again. I hope that helps anyone else who is having the issue.

Ensure you have the version installed (6.5). If the problem still persists, then maybe post a video on here with your system details and possibly an Adobe Staff Member may be able to pick it up and work out what the issue is.
