Lightroom Mobile

I am not a computer wiz. Just recently downloaded Photoshop CC and also got Lightroom  Mobile. I do not have a smartphone and only want to use Lightroom on my desktop. Is this the same or is there a different app for my desktop. I cannot import photos into Lightroom Mobile from my harddrive as this creates a restart on my computer every time I try. Help!
