Question

Lightroom Mobile Albums Empty on Iphone after Restore

Good day, I recently did a full backup and restore of my iphone using itunes. After the restore most of my photos were missing from my Lightroom Mobile albums. The total restore size of the App is 49Gb which means it did backup the App data. My Cloud sync was paused as cloud storage was full. My question is why is only a small amount of the photos showing in the app and not everything? How can I try and recover those photos? I have tried restoring a number of times, but the files are still not showing up in Lightroom.

Hi @rudolfvg

I see a 20 GB Ohotography plan for your account.  If you have imported 49 GB of files into the Lightroom Mobile app, only 20 GB of those files could sync to Lightroom cloud storage.  Still, you might want to sign into your same account at https://lightroom.adobe.com and see which images made it to Lightroom cloud storage.

As far as the non-synced images, any imported images should still appear in the Lightroom Mobile app.  Are you sure you are checking All Photos in the Lightroom tab in the app?

Usually when people do not see images, it often turns out that there is more than one Lightroom account and missing images are in the other account.  What I recommend in this case is plugging your device into a computer, and using Mac Finder or iTunes (if on Windows, or older Mac OS) to copy images out of the app cache to your computer.  Please see this page for more info: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/recover-lightroom-mobile-photos-itunes-file-sharing.html

Are you using the free version of Lightroom Mobile, or the subscription version?

I am using the paid for version on Creative Cloud photography.
