Lightroom Mobile on a Chromebook

Lightroom Mobile as installed as an Android app on an Acer Chromebook will not even recognise RAW files. I have tried the same thing on a standard android tablet and it works as expected, including being able to select images to import from  SD cards or USB memory.  On the chromebook, It will import jpegs from the local downloads folder but won't even see CR2 files there.  Jpegs on removable memory are invisible too.  Is this a known issue and are there any workarounds for it.

Hi robl,

Lightroom mobile is not yet Fully supported on Chromebook as it requires either iOS or Android OS (not ChromeOS) to run.

Many apps including Lr Mobile and Photoshop are still being tested for compatibility,so in near future they might work properly.

I have the same problem with the android app. But the web app does see the raw files and will import them. The web app at this time appears to have much less functionality than the android app. But you can always do the import using the web app and then go to the android app to do editing.

Hi Akash,

Has there been any improvement on Lightroom compatibility with ChromeOS?

Thanks
