Lightroom Mobile stopped importing…imports stuck in pending

For the two  days now I have been trying to import some images into Lr Mobile on my iPad Pro. The images are stuck pending. I’ve rebooted the app. Did a hard reboot to the iPad Pro. Paused the sync and resumed the sync. It usually takes less than a few seconds to import a few images (5 or 6) and it’s taking forever because it’s stuck in pending. I’m using Wi-Fi with a strong signal and everything. I don’t know what else to try. I have plenty of free storage space on my iPad Pro so that is not it either.Within Lr Mobile, I’m using 63% of 100gb of Cloud Storage. I have 36.92gb of free storage. Use cellular for sync is not available (only tried this to see if there was an issue with my hotspot), I always sync over WiFi.

thanks!

Hi @ChuckP1906, I'm just checking in to see if the updated version helped or if you are still running into this issue? Let us know how things are going. Happy to keep troubleshooting with you if needed. Thanks! ^CH

My issues with Lightroom Mobile are still unresolved. This is so annoying! I cannot import photos nor can I edit any images already in my library because Smart Preview will not load.

Hi. Thank you for the update. Please update Lightroom to the latest version available in the App Store.

If the issue exists, record your screen showing the behavior and share a video with us.

    Thanks!

@Sameer K it’s been 7 days since I last made a post and have heard nothing in regard to my issue. I took some photos today with my drone and the images are again stuck in pending mode. This is so annoying. I’m lol up to date using the latest iPad OS 26 version and still having issues.

Hey, @ChuckP1906. Please respond to what @Charlie.D has shared below. We’ve reqeusted specific info to recreate this.

Also, what specific drone are these images shot on?

    Thanks!

No I do not have videos included. I have photos only. Im using Lr Mobile on an iPad Pro, and I’m unsure how to create a diagnostic log on that device. As I type this out, I’m trying to import two photos right now and it’s been pending for the last ten minutes. Something is causing imports to stop importing. It’s not a storage as I have a lot of free storage available. The issue looks to be with syncing to the cloud. When I tap the cloud icon is how I see the import is pending. I have fast internet so it shouldn’t be a wifi issue. Rebooting Lr Mobile and my iPad Pro does not resolve the issue.

    Hi @ChuckP1906

You provided a lot of good info in your posts, like confirming your device has enough free space, etc.  Checking out the link Sameer shared will tell you how you can provide a diagnostic log.  I would say try import again before you to to create a log, so info will be fresh.

I tried manually reproducing your issue and I cannot on my own iPad, using the latest released build.  Let me ask some questions that might help us mirror your setup to reproduce the problem:

    • What specific iPad Pro device model and iOS version are you using?  Can you try updating your iOS version to the latest from Apple?
    • are you importing from your camera roll (“Device”), or are you trying to import via “Files" or “Connected camera/card?”
      • I have heard of people having issue when trying to use the Files method to try reach an attached camera or storage device; If this sound like your case, try “Connected camera/card” instead for a better direct connect.
      • If you are trying to import from an attached camera:
        • is your camera set to file transfer mode?
        • does it help to remove your chip and import from your chip directly?  Or can you use the Photos.app to transfer from your camera to your iPad camera roll, and let LR import from there?

Hopefully some detail about your specific workflow steps, or your device or iOS version will help shed light on the problem.

Hey, @ChuckP1906. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll help you figure this out.

Does the import batch include Videos? You can try excluding videos and check if it helps.

Also, before we troubleshoot this further, could you generate a diagnostic log and send it over to us: https://adobe.ly/4cTCrDE

You can just include a link to the thread in your email, along with the diagnostic log, for our team to have a look at.

    Thanks!

@Sameer K  thanks I just sent off the diagnostics you requested. I’m hoping this can get resolved quickly. I just realized I’m using an outdated iPad OS so I am going to update it to the current version and see if that helps or resolves the issue.
