Lightroom Mobile Sync Problem

I have been using lightroom mobile in my ipad for about 6 years now. I have run into a problem when I upload images directly from my SD card to my ipad, I wait for it all to upload but when I start to edit them I get a + in the cloud symbol with the error "Adjustments pending to be synced" and a force sync button underneath. Even when I force sync the photo, I will lose the edit. Ex. I make a photo b&w, edit a couple more photos and then that b&w photo is back to the original in color file. 

So. That's the problem. I have my ipad and lightroom up to date, I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times, I have cleared the cache, I have rebuilt sync data, I have created new catalogs in Lightroom CC. I have no sync issues on Lightroom.Adobe.com. I've tried just about everything. What am I missing.
