Can I somehow sync Lightroom Mobile with Lightroom Classic so all my edits carry over?

Yes you can.

There are also multiple videos on YouTube, search for "lightroom to lightroom classic sync"

I have all my originals in Lightroom Classic, I started with it and I don't want my originals in the cloud.

Only my smart previews are synced with Lightroom.

Ralf

I use Lightroom Classic (LrC 11.3) / Photoshop (Ps 23.2.2) / Lightroom (Lr 5.2) with Creative Cloud on a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017, Intel Core i7 / 16GB / 500GB SSD) with macOS Monterey Version 12.3.1

Just to add to Raif's advice...

Once the photos have downloaded to Classic they can be deleted from the cloud to save cloud storage quota. If you then need access to them in Lightroom Mobile, sync within a Collection and this will, as Ralf says, sync the Smart Preview that doesn't count against the quota.
