Lightroom Mobile: Will clearing my cache delete the photos that are still uploading to the cloud?

My internet is not incredible and is a very likely reason as to why my cloud sync gets stuck indefinitely at times. I have run out of local storage on my iPad, and it would be nice to work on a new batch of photos at the moment while the rest of the library continues to sync. I read clearing the cache will free up some space, but could also delete the photos that haven't been uploaded yet? I couldn't find a clear answer.
