Lightroom not starting and getting strange notification

After almost 5 hours of chatcontact with Adobe support, I really don't know what to do anymore. 

The picture attached is the notification I get when starting LR. PS en LrC are working correctly, but because of my photography school I have to work in LR(partly) 

And on the other hand, I pay for it to be working, not for being a pretty app on my PC. 

 

Uninstalled an reinstalled the whole lot, updated drivers on graphic card and allowed customer support to do loads on my PC from distance. 

I am a bit of een computer noob, and have no idea what to do next. As custumor support needs more time to sort it out at the back end. 

Maybe in the mean time you have any ideas or suggestions?  Would love to fix this.

Hi Marieke. Sorry to hear you're having such problems. This feels like a possible installer problem. I know you said you already tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but we've seen cases where uninstall doesn't remove everything. I'd appreciate if you could try that first. 

 

To do this:

1. Uninstall Lightroom, either from the Creative Cloud app or from Windows Add/Remove control panel.

2. Important: In Windows Explorer, go to C:\Program Files\Adobe. If you still see a folder called "Adobe Lightroom CC", delete it. 

3. Reinstall Lightroom and try to launch.

 

If this doesn't work, I'll connect with you privately to gather some logs.

Thank you so much for reaching out. 
Tried what you wrote above. No effect, it still won't start. In Web Lightroom I do get in the catalog, cleaned it up and deleted everything in it. Stil nothing when opening the app
