Lightroom on Chromebook - Unable to open .cr3 files

Hi everyone,

I bet this has been answered before but I can't find the answer.

I'm using Lightroom on Chromebook. The mobile/app version of Lightroom for Chrome does not open .CR3 files which are the one Canon produces.

Do you know why this is not supported and what is the best way to edit raw .cr3 photos on Chromebook?

I’m not sure why you can’t import your raw files using the mobile app. Have you tried using a web browser? Log in at the link below. If your CR3 files import directly into the cloud via the browser they should automatically download to your Chromebook.

Hi Jon thank you for this suggestion. I've been having this problem too and this is a great workaround.

If anyone else knows how to import .cr3 files (shot either RAW or CRAW) directly into Lightroom on Chromebook that would make my workflow a little simpler

Thanks!

Are you using the free mobile app or do you have a subscription with cloud storage?
