Lightroom on Imac not recognizing DNG files from icloud after latest update

After the most recent Lightroom update on my Ipad, lightroom on my Imac errors with DNG files not compatible with this version. (version 5.5) Imac is late 2013 and cannot accept the new update. Anyone else have this problem? It worked perfectly fine until last week.
