Lightroom on iphone & mac

I have lightroom on my iphone - i'm currently on the free trial but move across to paid monthly subscription shortly. I want to be able to use it on my Macbook pro as well. But when I click 'restore purchase' on my mac it says it can't restore as no purchase has been made?? Surely you pay 1 but can use it across devices? Thanks
