Lightroom Presets Not Working

Hello!

So a friend of mine made a preset on lightroom and exported it to a DNG and sent it to me so I import this preset to Lightroom and save it as a new preset for me to use, and when i go to put it on the same photo he used and add the preset on it, it completely looks different and I don't know how to fix this as i've been trying to figure it out for days. Could it be because he has an iphone XR and I only have an 8? Someone please help!

When you save the DNG settings as a new preset, you'll get a dialog where you can check which edits you want to save. If your friend used a specific iPhone XR profile in his preset, then this will indeed cause a difference on your phone because Lightroom on your phone cannot apply a iPhone XR profile to your iPhone 8 images.
